The Rocky Mountain Youth Clinics

The RMYC operates three traditional pediatric clinics in Aurora, Downtown Denver, and Thornton that provide healthcare services  including assistance with enrollment into Medicaid and CHP+, health education, immunizations, mental health counseling, minor acute care, prescription assistance, preventive checkups, referrals to specialists, sick visits, social services, and other related services. These services are provided regardless of a patient’s insurance status or a family’s ability to pay. The three clinics provide approximately 75% of the organization’s total services. In 2006, the three clinics combined to provide almost 38,000 patient visits.

The Rocky Mountain Youth Clinics’ Mobile Health Program

Graciously donated by the Ronald McDonald House Charities, The RMYC owns and operates two Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles. The Care Mobiles are pediatric clinics on wheels that travel to schools and other community sites in low-income neighborhoods, providing care to uninsured children and adolescents. While one Care Mobile provides primary healthcare services, the other provides preventive oral care. Both Care Mobile services are exclusively for uninsured children and adolescents for only $10 per visit. This fee is waived for families that demonstrate an inability to pay. In 2007, The RMYC expanded its Mobile Health Program to bring health and dental care to rural communities in Colorado .
